Instead of building each page on every visit, we build it once and serve the finished result. That single decision is what makes these sites fast, portable, and hard to break.
Fast
There is no database query and no server-side rendering on request. The page is already built, so the visitor gets a finished file straight away. That is why load times are measured in milliseconds.
Runs anywhere
A static site is just files. It can sit on AWS, on a CDN edge, or on your own hardware without changing anything. Nothing is locked to one server, so the same site can be moved or copied wherever you need it.
Secure
No live database, no server-side code executing on each request, and no admin login on the public site. That removes the most common attack routes. There is far less surface for anyone to target.
